Biographical Paragraph for Lifestyle Magazine, etc.…
A.L. Kennedy was raised by wolves in an otherwise hostile environment and is haunted by a host of reliably monetised demons. She speaks no languages and communicates via an albino boa constrictor called Frank. She now lives in a hovel under a heap of scavenged rags or in a palatial underground lair, equipped with a range of fascinating objects garnered from her extensive travels, along with a plethora of up-to-date gadgets which allow her to boil eggs/harness the power of asteroids/make bad coffee at the snap of a finger. She is angry/tormented/hilarious/deformed/ barely female/a womanly role model. Her personal life is intensely personal. Or not. She exhibits a range of habits without which it would be impossible to write, owns a Mont Blanc pen which she keeps under her pillow and has hand-pressed paper formed from Colonsay seaweed delivered to her house weekly for notes, sketches, shopping lists and lapidary reflections upon the many facets of reality. She wears clothes and shoes. She has hair, eyes and skin. She fed wolves by hand on the occasion of her 50th birthday.
